Heating, ventilation and air conditioning this is HVAC here and every where in the world. The term has a broad scope of work attached to it.
Most heating and Cooling contractors has some or all of the necessary training to perform any of the symbolic words attached to HVAC, such as Heating, this could mean providing heat for a structure where temperatures can not fall below a set point where cold is forbidden. Or comfort heating for people, machines and animals so on and so fort.
Another term associated with HVAC is ventilation, this could mean a wide variety of venting methods such as removing odors from a building of any stature, removing cooking smoke, removing stale air and providing fresh air back in the space. The rule of thumb on removing bad air, what ever air in cfm’s you remove from a structure you should bring the same amount of fresh air in cfm’s into the structure. Do you know Why? The last term in HVAC is air conditioning, this word air conditioning has a wide variety of uses such as; people cooling or comfort cooling, machine cooling such as; computer rooms, telephone rooms and elevator control rooms, the equipment in the above rooms produce a lot of heat and needs to be humidity controlled and heat needs to be removed and air conditioning needs to present on demand.
